Just occurs to me that maybe I'm not seeking a Spiritual Director because I have a great minister. :-)

Great post today. Thanks. And I really like the NYT article.

However, the Spiritual Directors website is unsettling to me. Not sure exactly why, but looking at the list for just Houston with absolutely no knowledge of these people, it would seem to be a little like randomly picking an online site for buying shoes. Maybe struggling to find "my way" at this point in my life makes me super-sensitive about the source of my direction?

Again, thanks. Great food for thought.

The Parallel Universe.

Heaven is right under our nose. Next to us. Hello, others that have been released from their fleshly homes!

Physicists talk of the Parallel Universe and astronomers speak of the 'new' earth.

I have dipped my toe into that Universe Next To Us and it is Good.

Love,

Un-marriage...YES.

I had a wonderful relationship that completely fell apart when we moved in together.

We should have stayed in the Un married phase. We we so happy then.

Sigh.

Lovely post.

Hi Dear Ellen,
I finally got a chance to read your July 5 sermon. I must say it makes me proud to be a Cooper. OK, so a Lightfoot-Holland-Perry-Cooper, but a proud Cooper nonetheless. I just told your Dad so. I like the way you think.
Love and hugs,
Barbara

Ellen,

Merriam Webster tells us "relevant" means "having significant and demonstrable bearing on the matter at hand".

What is the matter at hand that UU-ism could be more relevant to?

I've watched this post since it was posted a month ago looking for comments that would clear up the question but not seeing any comments, I still don't understand the question.

In my opinion, individual UU's working for causes they believe in do make a difference and are quite relevant although possibly nobody watching knows that they are UU's.

Regarding UU-ism, being a small movement probably lessens relevancy (do you mean "impact") but we are still here, plodding along and making a difference in little ways that add up.

Quality vs. Quantity? Or Quality AND Quantity. Do mean that bigger is better? Well, duh! yes when it comes to voices.
